What Naruto and Naruto Shippuden are
Naruto is a long-running ninja adventure anime following a young outcast who dreams of becoming the leader of his village. The story is told in two parts: the original Naruto, which has nine seasons and 220 episodes, and Naruto Shippuden, the continuation that is much longer and runs for many more seasons.
This page covers both because most people searching for the Hindi version want to know about the whole story, not one half. Watch the original first, since Shippuden picks up afterwards.
The Hindi dub story
According to Anime News Network, Sony YAY! began airing Naruto in India in August 2022, with the second season following in December 2022, and started Naruto Shippuden in March 2024. Fan-news sites report that the channel broadcast Naruto in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Bengali. Treat those language lists and exact dates as less certain, because the sources do not fully agree with each other.
On streaming, Crunchyroll is the main home. It brought the Sony YAY! dubs of the original Naruto online in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu between April and June 2025. In July 2026 Anime News Network reported that Hindi, Tamil and Telugu dubs of Shippuden would start on Crunchyroll on 6 July. Other coverage says the Hindi dub is exclusive to Crunchyroll and that the first 220 Shippuden episodes arrive in batches up to September 2026. An older Hindi dub reportedly aired on Cartoon Network India around 2008 and 2009, but that is from a single fan source and we could not confirm it.
We have not watched the dubs ourselves, so we make no claim about dub quality. Boruto is a separate series, and we found no source tying it to a Hindi dub, so we leave it out.
How to check availability yourself
Open the Crunchyroll app or website with an Indian account and search for Naruto or Naruto Shippuden. Start an episode and open the audio or subtitle settings in the player, where available dubs are listed. If Hindi appears, select it. Dubs can be added episode by episode, so a later season may show fewer audio options than an earlier one.
For Netflix or Prime Video, open the title page and read the audio and subtitle details, or play an episode and check the language menu. Do not assume Hindi is present just because the show is listed. For TV, check the Sony YAY! schedule on your cable or DTH operator.

What to know before you start
The original series is 220 episodes across nine seasons, which is a sizeable commitment before you even reach Shippuden. Shippuden is far longer, and its Hindi dub on Crunchyroll was still rolling out in batches when we last found coverage, so you may hit episodes that are not yet dubbed.
Plan to switch between Hindi audio and English or original audio if needed. Age ratings and episode counts can vary by platform, so check the rating shown on the service you use.
