What Black Clover is

Black Clover is a fantasy action anime made by Studio Pierrot. The TV series began airing on TV Tokyo on 3 October 2017 and its first season ran for 170 episodes. Crunchyroll now presents those 170 episodes as parts of one Season 1, even though home-video releases in English split them into four seasons, so you may see both naming styles.

A second season began on 3 October 2026. The standalone film, Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King, was directed by Ayataka Tanemura, runs 110 minutes, and reached Japanese theatres and Netflix worldwide on 16 June 2023. We have not watched any of it for this page, so we offer no opinion on the dub or the story.

The Hindi dub story

The film came first. Sportskeeda reported in June 2023 that Netflix India would stream Sword of the Wizard King with a Hindi dub on its launch day, and described it as the first Black Clover film to be dubbed in Hindi. Netflix also published a Hindi dubbed trailer at that time, but the voice cast was not announced in the reports we saw.

For the TV series, the news is much more recent. OtakuKart reported on 16 October 2026 that Crunchyroll began a Hindi and Tamil dub rollout for Season 1 Part 1 on 10 October. The headline of that article also mentions Telugu, but the body text does not, so we do not claim a Telugu dub for this part. For Season 2, an earlier OtakuKart article (1 October 2026) said Crunchyroll India would stream it exclusively, with Japanese audio and English subtitles at launch and dubs in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu planned later. We found no confirmed date, so treat Season 2 Hindi as not confirmed.

These are news reports rather than platform announcements that we could read directly, which is why our confidence is medium.

How to check availability yourself

Open Crunchyroll in India, search for Black Clover and pick an episode. In the player settings, look at the audio or language option. If Hindi appears next to Japanese, that episode has the dub. Dubs are often added in batches, so a later episode may have it while an earlier one does not, and the opposite can also happen.

On Netflix India, open the film's page and check the audio and subtitle details shown under the description, or open the settings during playback. Netflix lists the available languages for each title. Because your region and plan affect what you see, always trust what the app shows you on the day over any article, including this one.

What to know before you start

This is a long series. With 170 episodes in Season 1, a full watch is a big commitment, and the Hindi dub reported so far covers only Season 1 Part 1, so you may need to switch to Japanese audio with subtitles later on if the dub does not continue. The film is a better short starting point if you only want a single sitting and a confirmed Hindi option, but it is a spin-off in the franchise, so you may enjoy it more after meeting the characters in the series.
