Vishnu Vinyasam (2026)

Vishnu Vinyasam 2026: a romcom about stars and second thoughts

Vishnu Vinyasam 2026 is a Telugu-language romantic comedy with an offbeat pairing at its core. A young woman, unmarried at 27, enrols in a junior college. There she meets Vishnu, a lecturer who, going by the film's description, is not very capable in the classroom and puts great faith in astrology. Her mission to set him right is the engine of the story.

The age gap in roles and the college setting are not the usual combination, and the astrology angle gives the writers room for comic situations built on superstition versus common sense. That is a familiar tension in Telugu comedies, so the question is mostly about execution, which we cannot judge without having watched it.

The film is written and directed by Yadunaath Maruthi Rao.

Release date and where to watch

Wikipedia lists the theatrical release as 27 February 2026. A trade report we saw noted that the date was brought forward by a day from 28 February so it could land on a Friday. Reports we found point to Amazon Prime Video for streaming in March 2026, but the exact day was given as both 19 and 20 March, so we do not state a firm OTT date. Check the platform to confirm what is available in your region.

Runtime is also inconsistent across sources, at 119 minutes on Wikipedia, 127 on FilmiBeat and 2 hours 7 minutes on an OTT listing, so we leave it out.

Cast, music and crew

Sree Vishnu, who plays the title character, is known for comedy-leaning roles in Telugu cinema. Nayan Sarika plays Manisha. The supporting list includes Satya, Murali Sharma as an astrologer called Guruji, Brahmaji and Praveen as fellow lecturers, and Srinivasa Reddy as a fake astrologer.

Radhan composes the music, with lyrics by Ramajogayya Sastry, and the listed songs include Modhale Modhale and Confusion Confusion. Sumanth Naidu G produces under Sree Subrahmanyeshwara Cinemas.

What to expect

We have not watched the film and offer no verdict. Some audience and press reactions we came across were described as mixed, which is a reminder to watch the trailer and decide for yourself. If you enjoy light Telugu comedies with a college backdrop and a mismatched pair, the premise matches that taste. Because the film has already been released, you can also read the cast list above and compare it with the trailer to see whether the humour is to your liking. Anyone sensitive to jokes about superstition and belief should know that astrology is central to the plot and is played mostly for laughs, going by the description.
