Param Sundari (2025)

Param Sundari 2025: a Delhi-to-Kerala romantic comedy

Param Sundari 2025 is a Hindi romantic comedy directed by Tushar Jalota for Maddock Films, with Dinesh Vijan producing. The pairing at its centre is Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor.

The idea is a classic opposites-attract setup updated with technology. Param, a rich young man from Delhi, uses a matchmaking app partly to prove something to his father. The app connects him with Sundari, who runs a homestay in Kerala, and the story is then about how two people from very different worlds adjust to each other. The title itself is built from the two names, joined together.

Romantic comedies live or die on chemistry and likeable writing, neither of which we can judge from the outside, so treat this section as a description of the setup rather than a verdict on its success.

Release date and where to watch Param Sundari

Param Sundari reached cinemas on 29 August 2025. It had originally been scheduled for 25 July 2025 and was postponed, according to Wikipedia; the British Board of Film Classification also lists the 29 August date. The running time is 136 minutes per both of those sources, although one cinema chain's page shows a longer figure.

For streaming, Wikipedia says Amazon Prime Video began carrying the film on 24 October 2025, and that Sony Max holds the satellite television rights. Check the app for your region. We did not find a confirmed Indian censor certificate in the sources we saw, so none is listed here.

Cast, crew and the Kerala backdrop

Sidharth Malhotra plays Param Sachdev and Janhvi Kapoor plays Sundari, whose full name in the cast list is Thekkepattu Damodharan Pillai. Sanjay Kapoor appears as Param's father, Parmeet. Renji Panicker, Siddhartha Shankar, Manjot Singh, Abhishek Banerjee, Inayat Verma and Tanvi Ram fill out the listed cast.

The screenplay is credited to Tushar Jalota, Gaurav Mishra and Aarsh Vora. Sachin-Jigar composed the music, with lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya, and the six-track soundtrack came out on 25 August 2025 through Universal Music India. Santhana Krishnan Ravichandran shot the film and Manish Pradhan edited it.

Wikipedia notes the story is set in Kerala and that the Kerala shooting schedule ran from 19 January to 18 February 2025, which hints at how much the setting is meant to matter.

Who it suits

Light romance fans and followers of the two leads are the obvious audience, as are viewers who enjoy a change of scenery in their love stories. This is a preview built from published material, and we have not watched the film.
