Nishaanchi 2 (2025)

Start with Part 1: how Nishaanchi 2 2025 fits the story

Nishaanchi 2 2025 is not a stand-alone film. It is the second and final part of a Hindi crime drama directed by Anurag Kashyap, and Wikipedia describes it as a direct sequel to Nishaanchi, which had a theatrical release on 19 September 2025. According to the same entry, the original footage ran to roughly five and a half hours, which is why the story was divided in two. If you are choosing where to begin, start with Part 1.

Part 2 is set a decade after the first, and in its setup Babloo returns from prison to find that his twin brother Dabloo has built a calm, steady life. A government minister then tries to push Babloo into becoming a hired killer. The film's weight therefore rests on the relationship between the brothers, who are both played by debutant Aaishvary Thackeray.

We have not watched the film. What follows is a guide drawn from published information, with no plot details past the setup.

The people behind it

Kashyap wrote the script with Ranjan Chandel and Prasoon Mishra. Ajay Rai and Ranjan Singh produced it through JAR Pictures and Flip Films, and Amazon MGM Studios distributed it. Besides Thackeray in the dual role, the credited cast includes Monika Panwar as the brothers' mother Manjari, Vedika Pinto as Rangeeli Rinku, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub as Inspector Kamal Ajeeb and Kumud Mishra as Ambika Prasad.

The Wikipedia entry lists nine songs by several composers, among them Anurag Saikia and Manan Bhardwaj, with the soundtrack released by Zee Music Company on the day of release. Runtime is 145 minutes there, while one review gives 2 hours 26 minutes, so treat the figure as approximate.

Where to watch, and what critics said

Both parts went straight to Amazon Prime Video on 14 November 2025 as a double feature. That means the film can be watched there rather than in cinemas, subject to your region's catalogue.

The critical response that we could find is mixed. Hollywood Reporter India called it an underwhelming finale to the two-part saga while crediting Thackeray's dual performance. Scroll was more balanced, saying the two films do not fully add up as a whole but praising Thackeray for distinguishing the twins and singling out Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub's villain. These are reviewers' views, not ours.

So expect a grim crime drama that rewards patience and prior viewing, with a runtime long enough to suit an evening set aside for it. If Part 1 worked for you, finishing the story is the natural step.
