Meri Girlfriend Da Viyaah (2026)

Meri Girlfriend Da Viyaah 2026: what is confirmed

Meri Girlfriend Da Viyaah 2026 is a Punjabi comedy, and the amount of reliable public information on it is small. The most useful source we found is a Prime Video listing, which gives the synopsis, a 2026 year, a runtime of about 1 hour 21 minutes, Omjee Group as the studio and Smeep Kang as director. An official trailer has also been uploaded on YouTube. Beyond that, we could not find a confirmed theatrical date, a certificate, a writer credit or an official streaming announcement, so we are not stating any of them.

The title translates loosely as "my girlfriend's wedding", and the listed premise fits it: a young man in Mumbai hides his relationship from his parents, and the cover story begins to run away from him. It is the classic mistaken-identity set-up that Punjabi comedies have used for years, and it depends entirely on timing, dialogue and ensemble chemistry.

This is a preview. We have not watched the film and cannot comment on the quality of its performances.

Premise and listed cast

In the listed story, Bittu and Nimrat share a quiet life in Mumbai. When Bittu's parents arrive unannounced, he cannot bring himself to say who Nimrat really is and passes her off as their housemaid. Complications follow when the male househelp becomes attracted to her and wants to propose, and family pressure and misunderstandings pile on. That is as much as the listing says, and we will not guess at how it ends.

The Prime Video page names Smeep Kang, Kairav Kang, Jyot Arora, Mannat Singh, Gopi Bhalla, Vijay Tandon and Paramveer Singh. It does not say which actor plays which character, and we have not found a second reliable source to confirm the list, so treat the names as provisional. Smeep Kang is credited in the listing as both director and a cast name, which is worth confirming when fuller credits are published.

Release date, where to watch, and a name to avoid mixing up

No confirmed release date is available to us, and the Prime Video page is the only streaming reference we saw. If you want to watch it, search the title in the Prime Video app and check the official trailer on YouTube to confirm you have the right film. Unofficial download pages also turn up in searches; avoid them, since they are not legitimate sources.

Be careful with similar titles. Punjabi cinema has many films with "Viyaah" in the name, and a separate 2026 Punjabi film called Viyaah Kartaare Da, directed by Smeep Kang with Gippy Grewal in the cast, has its own announced February 2026 release. It is a different project. We will update this page when a reliable release date, certificate or confirmed credits appear.
