Ikka (2026)

Ikka 2026: what the film is

Ikka 2026 is a Hindi-language courtroom thriller that skipped cinemas and premiered on Netflix worldwide on 10 July 2026. Siddharth P. Malhotra directs, from a screenplay by Althea Kaushal and Mayank Tewari, and the production company is Alchemy Films. Malhotra's previous Netflix title, according to coverage we saw, was Maharaj.

The announced premise is a lawyer-versus-past-enemy set-up. Sikandar Mehra, played by Sunny Deol, is a celebrated advocate with a reputation for being incorruptible. He is pressured into defending a man accused of murder, and that man is someone whose career he once brought down. Since losing would cost him dearly, the story is described as pushing him to use every means available, ethical or not.

This page keeps to that premise and says nothing about how it resolves.

Cast and crew

Sunny Deol leads as Sikandar Mehra, with Akshaye Khanna as the accused. Tillotama Shome is reported as the prosecutor, and Dia Mirza is also in the cast. Other listed names include Sanjeeda Shaikh, Shishir Sharma, Akansha Ranjan Kapoor, Gurinder Pawar, Ivan Rodrigues and Vaishali Vohra.

The producers are Siddharth P. Malhotra and Sapna Malhotra. Mithoon is credited with the songs and Julius Packiam with the background score. One listing gives the runtime as 140 minutes and another as 2 hours 20 minutes; the Netflix page itself is the best place to confirm it.

Where to watch and who it suits

The film is a Netflix original, so the place to watch is Netflix, where it arrived on 10 July 2026. There was no theatrical run according to the coverage we found.

It suits viewers who like courtroom thrillers built on a personal history between lawyer and accused, and those interested in seeing Sunny Deol and Akshaye Khanna on opposite sides. We have not watched it and offer no verdict on performances or the ending.

A note for searchers: the title Ikka is also used elsewhere, so confirm you are looking at the Netflix Hindi courtroom thriller with Sunny Deol and Akshaye Khanna. The release date, platform and cast above come from Netflix-related coverage, and they are the most reliable anchors if you are comparing listings.

If you plan a viewing, remember that courtroom thrillers depend on information being revealed in the right order. Avoid reading plot-heavy social posts beforehand, and go in with only the premise above. The lead pairing of Sunny Deol and Akshaye Khanna is the strongest reason the project drew attention before release, and the courtroom setting gives both actors scope for dialogue-led scenes.
