Synopsis
Heartin is a Tamil romantic comedy-drama about Shiva, a chef running a South Indian restaurant in Jaipur. A road accident leaves him with memory loss that pulls him back to a college relationship, just as a new connection is taking shape in his present.
Heartin 2026: the story setup in brief
Heartin 2026 is a Tamil romantic comedy-drama shot across Chennai, Jaipur and Ooty. Based on the plot outline carried by reviews and listings, the hero Shiva is a head chef who runs a restaurant called Tamil Bhavan in Jaipur with his friend Mani. He is still nursing a college-era heartbreak when he meets Sadhana, an IT professional who relocated to Jaipur to escape pressure to marry.
The hook is what happens next: an accident leaves Shiva with amnesia, and his memory slides back to his college years. He believes he is still with his old love, Sahitya, which sets the present and the past against each other. That is as far as we go, since the film is spoiler-free territory for us and we have not watched it.
Who is in it and who made it
Kishore Kumar directed Heartin and wrote its story, and it is produced by R. Ravindran under the Trident Arts banner. Sananth leads as Shiva, Madonna Sebastian plays Sahitya, and Emaya T makes her debut as Sadhana. Whatsapp Mani, Debnita Kar, Pragathi and Uma Padmanabhan are among the supporting names, though spellings differ across sources.
On the technical side, Rajesh Murugesan composed the music, Mukes was the cinematographer and Barath Vikraman handled editing. The amnesia-romance route has been used in many languages, so the thing to watch is whether the Jaipur setting and the restaurant world give it a distinct flavour. Early reviews we saw were mixed: one praised the visuals and music, while another found the emotional depth thin. Since we have not seen the film ourselves, treat those as other writers' opinions.
Release date and where to watch Heartin online
The makers first announced a February release, but the film opened in theatres on 26 June 2026. This is a light-to-medium romantic drama, so it suits couples, fans of Madonna Sebastian and viewers who like Tamil rom-coms with a travel-style backdrop. Anyone looking for a tightly plotted thriller or heavy action should skip it. We found no confirmed runtime or certificate, so we do not list either.
