Sahasam (2025)

Sahasam 2025: what to know first

Sahasam 2025 is a Malayalam-language action comedy written and directed by Bibin Krishna. The name means roughly 'daring' or 'adventure'. Our sheet tagged it as Gujarati, but the only 2025 film of this name we could verify is the Malayalam one on Wikipedia, so this page covers that film. If you were looking for a Gujarati title, the match may be wrong.

We have not watched the film, so this is a primer drawn from published credits, not a review.

Cast, crew and music

Narain plays Rajeev Nambiar and Babu Antony appears as Wolf, also called Masthan Bhai. Gouri G. Kishan plays Sera Issac, Ramzan Muhammed is Jeevan, Shabareesh Varma is Sam and Baiju Santhosh is Babeesh. Aju Varghese and Althaf Salim are listed in cameo roles.

Front Row Productions backed the film and Central Pictures distributed it. Bibin Ashok composed the soundtrack, with lyrics mostly by Vinayak Sasikumar, and Saregama released the music. One song, 'Onam Mood', is described on Wikipedia as having become a social-media trend, which is a pointer to how the film's lighter, festive side was marketed.

Release, streaming and who it suits

Sahasam released in Indian theatres on 8 August 2025 with a reported runtime of 144 minutes. Wikipedia lists an OTT release on 1 October 2025 across Amazon Prime, ManoramaMAX and Sun NXT; availability can change, so confirm on the app before you plan a watch.

An action comedy with an ensemble of familiar Malayalam faces suits viewers who like mixed-tone entertainers and character-actor ensembles. We cannot say how well the humour and stunts land, so treat expectations as open. It is a reasonable pick for a casual weekend watch rather than something to approach as a heavyweight drama.

Things worth checking before you press play

First, language: the film is in Malayalam, so check whether your platform offers subtitles or dubbed audio in a language you follow. The sources we saw do not specify dubbed versions, so we do not promise one.

Second, tone: it is billed as an action comedy, which usually means broad humour sitting beside stunt sequences. Third, the plot outline available is deliberately vague, describing only an ordinary person pulled into trouble after a chance meeting. That leaves room for surprises, and we keep it that way by not guessing at details.

Finally, because our original listing for this title pointed to Gujarati, double-check the year and language on any streaming page before you commit, so you land on the film you wanted rather than another one with a similar name. Reading the cast list on the page is a quick way to confirm you have the right title.
