Synopsis

M.R.P (Neekentha Naakentha) 2026: at a glance
M.R.P (Neekentha Naakentha) 2026 is a Telugu-language comedy thriller written, produced and directed by Shravan Jesta. Naresh Agastya takes the male lead and Donal Bisht the female lead. The premise reported by Indian film outlets is simple and relatable: three friends with little money and big plans borrow from a gangster to begin a business, and what was meant as a fresh start becomes tangled with extortion.
The makers described it as a complete entertainer mixing comedy, action and emotion, which is promotional language, not a judgement. The title is built around the idea of a price tag and a play on words in Telugu, though the film's exact use of it is not something we could confirm. We have not watched it, so this is a pre-viewing guide.
Cast, crew and release details
Sakshi Post lists Vennela Kishore, Sudarshan, Kasireddy Rajkumar, Harsha Vardhan, Chaitanya Jonnalagadda, Prithviraj, Gagan Vihari, Nanda Gopal and Sneha Singh in supporting roles. Ajay Arasada composed the music, released through Aditya Music, while Rakesh Kolanchi shot the film and Marthand K. Venkatesh edited it. Panchajanya Features presented it.
A theatrical release on 17 July 2026 is reported by Sakshi Post and Sacnilk. Sources conflict on the running time, with figures of roughly two hours and about two hours twenty-four minutes both appearing, so we give no runtime. One guide credits a different writer, so we have kept to the writing credit in the pre-release coverage. We did not find a confirmed OTT platform or date, and we prefer to say so rather than repeat unverified streaming claims.
What it may offer and who it suits
Stories about friends in debt to a dangerous lender are a reliable comedy engine, because the stakes can be silly and scary in the same scene. The question to carry into this one is whether the humour grows out of the characters' bad decisions or relies on stock gags. Vennela Kishore is a familiar comic name in Telugu cinema, which may signal the tone, but we cannot comment on how he is used.
If you like mid-scale Telugu entertainers that mix crime with laughs, this sits in that lane. If you want a grim, realistic crime drama, the comedy billing suggests it will be lighter than that. Since an OTT release was not confirmed in our research, watch for platform announcements from the producers or Aditya Music before assuming it will arrive anywhere specific.
