Ishqa’n De Lekhe (2026)

What Ishqa'n De Lekhe 2026 is

Ishqa'n De Lekhe 2026 is a Punjabi romantic drama directed by Manvir Brar from a script by Jassi Lohka. The title is usually read as something like "by the accounts of love", a phrase that fits a story where feelings are weighed against circumstance. Gurnam Bhullar, who is also credited with the music, plays Samar, while Isha Malviya plays Jasneet.

The outline circulating in the press describes a college setting: Samar is a student leader with a following, Jasneet is quiet and keeps to herself. Their closeness grows, then a misunderstanding and a tragedy put the relationship under strain. That is the full extent of the plot we are comfortable describing, and we have not watched the film.

Campus romances have a long run in Punjabi cinema, so the interest here is less in novelty than in execution: how the leads share the screen and how the songs carry the emotional beats.

The people behind it

Gurnam Bhullar is best known as a Punjabi singer who also acts, so a film where he leads and composes is a natural showcase for both sides of his work. Isha Malviya, a former contestant on Bigg Boss 17, makes her Punjabi film debut here, according to the announcement coverage. The listed supporting cast includes Balwinder Bullet, Gurleen Chopra and Jasbir Gill, among others.

The British Board of Film Classification lists a running time of 143 minutes and advises moderate violence, threat and injury detail, which hints that the romance carries some darker moments than a light college story would.

Release date and where to watch

The film reached Indian cinemas on 6 March 2026, with a UK release on 13 March 2026, per the BBFC listing and Indian press. A few older articles print 2025 for the date, which looks like a typo given the other sources. We did not find a confirmed streaming platform or OTT date, so we are not naming one; if you want to catch it at home, check platform listings for Punjabi titles in your region before assuming availability.

Because a Punjabi release can travel unevenly, it helps to know the practical side before you plan a viewing. Cinema runs for regional films are often short, and home-viewing rights are sometimes announced weeks or months later. Until a platform is confirmed, the safest habit is to follow the producers' and lead actors' official channels, and to treat any unofficial upload as unreliable and unfair to the makers.
