Synopsis

The Demon Slayer Corps are pulled into the Infinity Castle, where Tanjiro, Nezuko and the Hashira confront powerful Upper Rank demons as the last battle against Muzan Kibutsuji begins. This is the first film of a planned trilogy from studio ufotable.

Demon Slayer Infinity Castle 2025: what this film is

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle 2025 is a Japanese animated feature made by studio ufotable and directed by Haruo Sotozaki. TMDB lists a running time of 156 minutes and credits Hikaru Kondou and Koyoharu Gotouge, the creator of the original manga, on the screenplay. Aniplex and Shueisha appear among the production companies, and the music is credited to Yuki Kajiura and Go Shiina.

The story sets the demon-slaying Corps, Tanjiro, his sister Nezuko and the elite Hashira swordsmen inside the shifting fortress of the title. According to the official synopsis, they meet frightening Upper Rank demons while the final confrontation with Muzan Kibutsuji starts. We are deliberately keeping details of who fights whom out of this page.

It also matters that this is only the first chapter. Wikipedia describes the film as the opening part of a planned trilogy, so expect a story that continues rather than closes in one sitting.

Release dates, trilogy plan and cast

TMDB and Wikipedia both give 18 July 2025 as the Japanese release date, with Toho and Aniplex named as distributors in Japan. Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures handled much of the international release. Reports from the time describe the trilogy as adapting the Infinity Castle material that was once expected to become a fifth TV season, though the exact split between the three films was an early report and may have changed.

The Japanese voice cast on TMDB includes Natsuki Hanae as Tanjiro Kamado, Takahiro Sakurai as Giyu Tomioka, Akira Ishida as Akaza, Hiro Shimono as Zenitsu Agatsuma, Saori Hayami as Shinobu Kocho, Reina Ueda as Kanao Tsuyuri and Mamoru Miyano as Doma. Yoshimasa Hosoya voices Kaigaku.

Is there a Hindi dub?

Checked on 27 October 2026. Coverage we saw from Outlook Respawn and other Indian outlets reports that the film opened in Indian cinemas on 12 September 2025 through Sony Pictures and Crunchyroll, in Japanese with English subtitles and in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu versions. Those are press reports; we did not see an official distributor page.

For streaming, an Anime News Network headline dated 6 July 2026 says Crunchyroll would stream the film with Hindi, Tamil and Telugu dubs from 28 July. We did not confirm that the Hindi audio is still on the platform today, and one guide mentions another service for the Hindi version, which other sources do not support, so treat that as unconfirmed. We could not confirm any Netflix listing in India.

Availability and audio languages change by platform and date. Please look at the official Crunchyroll app or the cinema listings and use only legal, licensed options.

Start with the series, then who should watch

Wikipedia describes the film as a direct continuation of the fourth season of the Demon Slayer TV anime. That means a newcomer will get far more from it by watching the series from the first season, which introduces Tanjiro, Nezuko and the Corps, before sitting down for a 156-minute feature. The film is not built as a standalone starter.

We have not watched it and will not rate the animation or fights. What we can say is that ufotable and Sotozaki are the same studio and director credited on the earlier Demon Slayer screen work, so viewers who enjoyed that style have a clear reason to be curious. We did not find a verified age rating, so check the certificate shown on your cinema or streaming listing.
