Karikaada 2026 is a Kannada-language romantic action film. Filmibeat lists K. Venkatesh as director, with some other pages naming him Gilli Venkatesh, which appear to refer to the same filmmaker. Kaada Natraj gets the story credit and leads the cast opposite Niriksha Shetty. Riddhi Entertainments is the producing banner, with Deepthi Damodar named as producer.

The only story description we found is promotional in tone: Kaada is a man tied to a hunting legacy, and his life shifts through divine love and unexpected circumstances. Another summary speaks of chase sequences and dramatic twists. Neither is a plot outline, and we have not watched the film, so this is a pre-watch guide built on the credits and release facts that are confirmed.

The team behind the camera

According to the Filmibeat cast-and-crew page, the music is by Athishay Jain and Shashank Sheshagiri, the cinematography by Jeevan Gowda and the editing by Deepak CS. Koudalli Shashi is listed as art director, stunts are credited to Jhony Master and Jaguar Sannappa, and dance choreography to Captain Kishore, Dhananjaya B and Bhushan.

The long stunt and dance credit list is a small clue about the film's flavour: it is built as a commercial entertainer in which action and songs are expected to carry weight. The supporting cast named in press coverage includes Yash Shetty, Baby Riddhi Nataraj, Kriti Verma, Bala Rajwadi and Vijay Chendoor, though the listings we saw do not assign roles.

Release date, languages and streaming

Listings give 6 February 2026 as the release date, with a 140-minute running time and a U/A certificate. Coverage says the film was slated for several languages, and Tamil and Malayalam trailers appear under the title Karikaadan. A PTI report said the teaser was released across about 1.59 lakh locations at once.

For streaming, a press release from May 2026 reported the film as available on Amazon Prime Video from 8 May 2026, while Filmibeat still showed OTT details as to be announced. Since we could not open the Prime Video page, treat the platform as reported and check it directly. We omit the OTT date from our data for that reason. Aggregators also showed a very low box-office total, but we have not verified those numbers and do not rely on them.
