What Eleven 2025 is, and who made it

Eleven 2025 is a crime thriller made for two audiences at once: it was shot in Tamil and Telugu together rather than dubbed afterwards, according to the listings we checked. Wikipedia describes it as a slasher-flavoured investigative thriller, which is a useful clue about tone. Expect a police procedure wrapped around a killer whose acts are meant to be read like a puzzle.

The film is written and directed by Lokkesh Ajls, who is reported to be making his directing debut after working as an associate to Sundar C. That detail matters when you set expectations. A first-time director working in a crowded genre is usually judged on pacing and the tightness of the investigation, not on star power alone.

We are deliberately not going further than that, because the enjoyment of a whodunit-style film lies in the reveals.

The cast around the lead includes Reyaa Hari, who is credited in a dual role, along with Dileepan, Shashank, Abhirami, Riythvika and Aadukalam Naren. Several actors are credited in double roles, which hints that the twin motif is central rather than decorative.

On the technical side, listings credit D. Imman for music, Karthik Ashokan for cinematography and N. B. Srikanth for editing. In a thriller of this kind, the score and the cutting usually decide whether the tension holds, so those credits are worth keeping in mind.

Release date and where to watch

Eleven reached cinemas on 16 May 2025, after earlier plans pointed to November 2024 dates that were later moved. Runtime is listed at 135 minutes. For streaming, sources we saw give 13 June 2025 as the digital debut, but they do not agree on every platform. Reports say the Telugu version is on Amazon Prime Video, while the Tamil version was listed on Aha and Tentkotta. Rights are also reported for other services, and availability can differ by country, so check the app in your region before planning an evening around it.

Critical response, as summarised in the sources, was mixed to positive: some writers liked the investigation and the final stretch, others felt the execution did not fully match the premise. Treat that as secondhand and form your own view.
